Safe Skin® Program Education: Safe Skin for the Patient Care Technician

This non-CE learning program is designed to provide education to the Patient Care Technician (PCT) on the importance of pressure injury prevention and treatment. Learning objectives are: define pressure injuries and major causes, identify what puts patients at risk of developing pressure injuries, identify early signs of pressure injuries, identify areas of the body where most pressure injuries occur, identify how to prevent pressure injuries, importance of nutrition and elimination, and importance of communication if a pressure injury is present or beginning.
