Body Mass Index, Weight, and Pressure Ulcer Prevalence: An Analysis of the 2006-2007 International Pressure Ulcer Prevalence (IPUP) Survey™

This report analyzed data from the US 2006 and 2007 International Pressure Ulcer Prevalence (IPUP) Survey™ and revealed an overall decrease in pressure ulcer prevalence from 2004-2005 to 2006-2007 and a higher pressure ulcer prevalence in patients with low BMI and with both low and high weights; 10% of patients were extremely obese.
